Of Mothers and Mother in Laws

Standard

My Mom left yesterday morning and my mother in law arrives this afternoon, inshAllah. I miss my mom but I’m looking forward to MiL’s arrival too, however, not the way it’s going to be.

During Ramadan I get off from work at 3:30PM, but comes the day of MiL’s arrival and I get an email from my boss stating we have a training program on Tuesday, July 15th at 4:00 PM, read, exactly at the time when MiL’s plane lands. Don’t get me wrong, I love my MiL bu I am worried, she may think I am late on purpose for her arrival 😛 so I won’t have to prepare iftaar and dinner for her. Or maybe I am just over thinking it 🙂 And hopefully she will make no such assumptions. Knowing my MiL, the probability is that she will make no such assumptions and won’t even mind fixing something for iftaar for me, but somehow the little worm of worry lurks in my heart 🙂

About abgeeney

I am a Pakistan expatriate in the UAE, mother of two lovely kids and working full-time as a Social Media Marketer. In addition, I have a small home-owned business which I absolutely love. I sell used-books! Given the fact that I am a professional Social Media Marketing specialist, you’d think I’d be better at keeping up my personal blog, but unfortunately I am not.
